Premier Composite Technologies Showcases Innovative Composite Solutions – Redefining Engineering Excellence at MECAM Expo 2025
Premier Composite Technologies (PCT), a global leader in advanced composite solutions based in Dubai, is set to exhibit at the Middle East Composites and Advanced Materials (MECAM) Expo from September 12-15, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
PCT will highlight its pioneering commitment to advanced composite construction and manufacturing, driving innovation and meeting the evolving demands of the Middle East markets.
PCT’s presence at MECAM 2025 provides a great opportunity to demonstrate its expertise and showcase landmark projects that redefine engineering possibilities. The PCT Architecture team will showcase UAE-based projects, such as the flagship retail stores for a leading global tech brand in Dubai Mall and Abu Dhabi. As well as award-winning projects completed at the Dubai Expo, Dubai Terminals, and the Emaar Shades.
Another key focus at the event will be PCT’s contribution to the expansion of the Great Mosque of Mecca, particularly the iconic Mataf Ceiling, part of a broader effort to increase the mosque’s capacity to accommodate over 2.5 million worshippers.
The ambitious project demonstrates that composites were the only solution to meet the project’s strict weight, performance, and aesthetic requirements. PCT used epoxy systems, quadriaxial stitched glass fabric, and carbon reinforcements to produce lightweight, intricately decorated soffit panels covering 350,000 sqm. The panels range in size from 10m² to 770m², with a thickness of 70mm and a weight of 67kg/m². The panels featured detailed Arabic Mashrabiya patterns crafted with high-performance concrete and engineered stone inlays. PCT meticulously designed, fabricated, and installed around 25,000 of these patterned panels, produced in its Dubai factories.
In addition to showcasing a selection of outstanding Architectural projects, Dr. Nicola Guest, Material and Process Engineering Manager at PCT, will be a guest speaker at the Firechat event on Day 1 at 3 PM, discussing why fire testing is critical for the use of advanced composites in commercial buildings. Amr Amzy, Project Director for PCT, will present “The Mataf Ceiling Project: Innovative Materials, Timeless Structures” on Day 1 at 3:30 PM at the conference stage.
The Rail team will feature their successful work in the GCC region, notably the meticulously designed interior of Dubai’s automated rail system. They will also present their innovative front-end manufacturing capabilities, such as the commercial service trams in Qatar and their most recent project in Saudi Arabia. All these projects adhere to the highest international quality and industry standards.
