Carbon Rivers modifies the Mazda RX-8 EV using expertise in composites and coatings


Carbon Rivers Inc. (Knoxville, Tenn., U.S.), an R&D engineering firm specializing in the field of composites recycling, ballistic protection and multipurpose coatings, announces the innovation and modification of a Mazda RX-8 electric vehicle (EV) in the upcoming 24 Hours of Lemons Endurance Race. 

The 24 Hours of Lemons is a series of endurance races held on paved road race courses across the U.S. that showcase the capabilities of vehicles purchased and track-prepped for $500 or less. Carbon Rivers, known for its expertise in EV batteries, composites recycling and automotive coatings, has converted a Mazda RX-8 from a petrol-driven car into a fully electric-powered race car. This initiative aims to demonstrate the firm’s prowess in advanced technologies while competing against gas-powered vehicles.
